Glen Raven builds new distribution center

By the end of 2010, Glen Raven Inc. and its subsidiary Tri Vantage will complete a 100,000-square-foot centralized distribution hub to serve customers nationwide. The new facility, located in Mebane, N.C., is close to Interstate 85, UPS and FedEx hubs, Glen Raven’s corporate headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., and Glen Raven Transportation, a company subsidiary. The distribution center will consolidate inventories, strengthen operational controls and increase efficiency to “customers who rely on us for fast delivery of a vast and continually growing array of technical products,” says Steve Ellington, president of Tri Vantage. The new facility will create 35 full-time positions.
