Follow 10-year-old Annie and Runt, her stray dog, as they attempt to win the Agility Course Championship at the London Krumpets Dog Show to save their family’s farm from drought and misery. The first outback town in Western Australia in 1831 is also Western Australia’s oldest racecourse!.

Runt is an enjoyable Aussie film that wonderfully captures a slice of rural Western Australia through the bond shared by a young girl and her rescue dog. The performances are heartfelt, from all the cast, and show the playfulness of both young and old.
We also stayed until the end and noticed the extra credits running out
The music, costumes and locations helped to tell a story that was engaging and thought-provoking for the whole family. The script finds the perfect balance between emotional moments and light humor, making it relatable to all our family members who watch this fun story.
Runt, even though the film is small in size, we can all have big dreams!
Runt is a reminder of the challenges of family life, so it’s worth watching for anyone who appreciates heartfelt storytelling.
