Nice S.p.A acquires elero Group

Nice S.p.A, an Italian-based home automation giant, recently acquired elero Group, a Stuttgart, Germany, manufacturer of control systems for roller shutters, sun awnings and rolling doors. The elero Group has two production plants, nine subsidiaries and a staff of 500. It developed the first tubular motor and other innovative technologies for solar-protection systems. Nice plans to create a major presence in German-speaking countries with this move and plans to bring its wide range of automation products, including applications for movable facades, to the new market.
