India’s Minister of State for Commerce and Industry says that the European Union has raised non-tariff barriers that work against India’s textile and garment exports, including labeling, certification and (REACH) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals requirements. “These issues will also be taken up with the EU in the next meeting of the India-EU Joint Working Group on textiles and clothing,” said Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
