French Army soldiers wear protective fabric

Rugged meta-aramid fibers, all-temperature protection and fire resistance sold the French Army on protective clothing from the Kermel® Co., Comar Cedex, France. The first battalions will be equipped with Kermel’s V50 summer and VMC40 winter camouflage battledress in late 2008 following successful field testing. The decision was made in context of France’s FELIN® Project, development of an armament system that will optimize the communications, defense and strategic capabilities of foot soldiers in the field.

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified company uses Kermel fiber in military flight suits, fire-fighting clothing, police riot gear and work wear for hazardous industrial environments. Kermel fibers combine comfortable softness, thermal protection, color-fastness, intrinsic fire resistance and humidity transfer.
