Chronology
Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter Alex Garland reunite 28 years later in this terrifying new story set in the world of 28 Days Later. Almost three decades have passed since the rabies virus left the laboratory of biological weapons, and now, under the conditions of the still ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some of them have found ways to exist among the infected. One such survivor lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, well-protected dam. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission to the dark heart of the continent, he discovers secrets, wonders and horrors that have mutated not only the infected, but other survivors as well.
