I don’t understand what you were expecting
Chronology
A series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross. In Part 2, Cross tells Sampson that he smells like “mothballs and old spice.” In real life, Isaiah Mustafa appeared in major Old Spice commercials as “the man the man smelled like”. I don’t really understand the series’ low ratings and very harsh words.
It makes you wonder if there are other intentions behind these ratings
The show is very well shot with great cinematography, direction, music and style choices based on D.C. Alex Cross’s depth as a character is immediately apparent, as are the flows like any human being. He tries to navigate the death of his wife while dealing with grief, a serial killer case and someone who is stalking his family.
Something that hasn’t been done before?
The supporting characters do a good job too and I like that we can watch 2 stories at once. There are moments where you don’t know where the story is going, and there are twists and turns that you never expected. No, but most of the time they get it right.
The acting is excellent and Aldis steals the show
There are plot holes where you question things, but they’re not big enough to distract me from watching the show. If I have to recommend anything, and the producers are reading this, it’s to focus a little more on his forensic psychology background next season. We’re not just talking about a detective who took profiling courses, but a man who has a PhD in psychology and a PhD in forensic psychology.
He knows the things forensic psychologists do
Don’t reduce this trait to a cute “I know how killers think” thing that they’ve done over and over again. Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, protect victims or prisoners. A guide to all the new movies and shows streaming on Prime Video in the US this month.
