The suite also includes a firewall, a shredder for data, and scheduled tools for cleaning your system. It will update drivers automatically, and has anti-tracking functions and even gives you privileged access to technical support with just one click.
The interface of the software is user-friendly and user-friendly even though there are many options and settings. Most of the functions can be controlled with a switch or button. This is a great ergonomic standpoint. The program is free and is available for both Windows and Mac.
The antivirus does a decent job at keeping your computer safe from malware. Its real-time protection is able to detect more than 99percent of threats, and it didn’t trigger false positives during my testing. However, it’s not able to provide the same level of protection that the leading products do in terms of file scanning and heuristics.
360 Total Security comes with several security and maintenance features. A VPN is included in the premium version. Its heuristic engine detects malware by looking at the program’s behavior, which could be extremely useful particularly if the threat isn’t well-known and doesn’t have a signature yet. The program also comes with Cleanup utility and other tune-up tools to help improve the performance of PCs.
