Ronstan Tensile Architecture, Portsmouth, R.I., has launched its continuing education course, “Exploring the Naturally Sustainable Form of Tensile Architecture,” on The Continuing Architect, an online educational platform. Accredited by the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES), successful completion of the course earns one hour toward learning unit requirements, including the health, safety and welfare and sustainable design credit categories.
The course examines stainless steel as the preferred material for tensile structures, the main benefits that tensile construction can bring to any project, the various tensile application types and the advantages of partnering with a specialty contractor to design and install a tensile structure. The course can be accessed here, and is also available in streaming video or downloaded as a pdf for offline learning. It’s also offered as a Lunch and Learn presentation, and as a podcast, suitable for mobile devices, including the iPad.
