Janice Christiansen was elected chairman of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. The president of J.C. Schultz, The Flag Source in Batavia, Ill., Christiansen succeeds Ron Bullock of Bison Gear and Engineering in St. Charles. Christiansen is the first woman to be elected chairman of the 116-year-old manufacturers’ association. Her company, which makes flags and banners, employs 70 people. The IMA, based in Oak Brook, Ill., has more than 4,000 members and is the largest trade association representing state manufacturers.
