Color types
Primary. Colors that are pure; they cannot be made by mixing other colors together.
Secondary. Colors achieved by mixing two primary colors together.
Tertiary. Colors achieved by mixing a primary color with a secondary color.
Complementary. Colors located across from each other on a color wheel.
Analogous. Colors located adjacent to each other on a color wheel.
Color terms
Hue. The name of a color, does not include white or black.
Tint. A color (hue) mixed with white.
Shade. A color (hue) mixed with black.
Tone. A color (hue) mixed with gray.
Value. The lightness or brightness of a color.
Chroma. The intensity or saturation of a hue.
